Buildmate as a division of Scheltema & Co. complies with all OH&S legislation in South Africa.

Our approach to health and safety with specific reference to Covid19 is as follows:

1. All delivery vehicles are sprayed and cleaned each evening to ensure they are properly sanitized for deliveries the next day
2. Delivery personal carry disinfectant sanitizer in their vehicles and are under instruction to ensure regular hand washing
3. Where possible a minimum distance of 1,5 – 2 meters between persons is maintained at all times. 
4. All necessary PPE equipment is used and masks are worn at all times
5. Our staff comply with the necessary sanitary procedures, including 20-second hand washing & dealing with SARS-CoV-2 in terms of infections, isolation & prevention procedures.
6.  Regular COVID-19 screenings are conducted including checking temperatures with thermometers. 

Furthermore the company has the following credentials in terms of industry involvement and compliance. These bodies provide valuable guidance and assistance.

1. Longstanding members of the Master Builders Association Western Cape (MBAWC) since 1939.
2. Registered for WCA through Federal Employers Mutual (FEM)
3. Registered with the Building Industry Bargaining Council (Good Hope) or BIBC
