Buildmate allows you to collect directly from multiple manufacturers and wholesale suppliers. When you choose Click & Collect, we'll tell you where you can collect your items from. Place your order and pay and we will ensure all your items are ready for collection at the relevant collection locations. We’ll text you once your items are ready for collection and remind you where to go.
I placed an order for collection, but no longer want it, what do I do?
If you want to cancel the order for a full refund, please Contact Us within 5 days of placing your order. Your items will be held at your selected collection point(s) for 5 days, after which point, your order will be put back to stock. Made to order items/orders cannot be refunded.
How long will a store hold my order for?
Your items will be held at collection points for 5 days.
What happens if I don’t collect my order?
We will send you a reminder to come and collect your order but if after 5 days of notification your items have not been collected then they will be placed back in stock. Your order will be cancelled, and the value of your order will be applied as a customer credit to your Buildmate Account.
When can I collect Same day?
Items from the Scheltema warehouse can be collected same day provided your order is made before 4pm and collected during Scheltema warehouse’s working hours. On the odd occasion there is insufficient stock to collect Same day you'll be notified of this after directly after you place your order via email. You will receive a notification via sms/email to confirm when the stock is ready for collection.
When can I collect Next day?
You can collect order Next day provided your order is placed before 4:30pm AND provided items have a lead time of 1 day or less. On the odd occasion there is insufficient stock to collect Next day you'll be notified of this after you place your order via email. You will receive a notification via sms/email to confirm when your order is ready for collection.
When will my order be ready to collect?
Items are warehoused at multiple locations. Items at Scheltema warehouse have a 0 day lead time which means they are ready immediately. Most other suppliers have a lead time of 1 day which means they can be collected on a next day basis. Made to order items have a longer lead time and can only be collected once they are made up. On the odd occasion there is insufficient stock to collect Same day or Next day you'll be notified of this after you place your order via email. You will receive a notification via sms/email to confirm when the stock is ready for collection.
When will my made to order item be ready?
The number of days it will take to prepare a custom made item will be shown as the lead time when the item is selected. You will receive notification via sms/email when the items are ready for collection. Some made to order items cannot be collected and are sold on a delivered only basis.
Why aren't items always available the very next day?
Buildmate has access to the real time inventory levels of Scheltema's warehouse only. It does not have access to the real time inventory levels of other suppliers. Items presented on the website with 1 day lead times are items that our suppliers keep as stock items and so it is with a high degree of predictability that these items are available Next day. On the odd occasion there is insufficient stock to collect Next day you'll be notified of this after you place your order via email. You will receive a notification via sms/email to confirm when the stock is ready for collection.

I want to collect my items from the store, when is my store open?
Schletema warehouse/collection point is open 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm Friday. Manufacturers and wholesale suppliers each have their own set of opening hours. For more information visit our Collection Point reference on the website (Click on Collect Points) which shows opening hours, locations and collection advise per supplier/collection point.
By special request all items in one order can be collected from Buildmate (in cases where items are warehoused at multiple locations) however this is not standard practice and may incur an additional service fee.
